Applications Engineer – iOS

Summary of Position

As an Applications Engineer at Flixster, you will be focused on building end-user features as fast as we can dream them up. You will work closely with everyone on our product development team to turn mockups into reality. Your will work across the full technology stack from front to back, and be completely responsible for each new feature you build - from design to implementation to deployment and maintenance. You will write elegant, maintainable, robust, scalable code every day. The features you build will be used by millions of people every month.

You will work not just on our popular mobile and web applications, but on embedded platforms (browser extensions, set-top boxes, gaming consoles, etc).

Job Requirements

• BS or MS in Computer Science or a related fieldRequired: experience in Java 1.5+, JSP and JST; understanding of web protocols and RESTful APIs; comfortable working in HTML, CSS, Javascript, & SQL.
• Preferred: experience with Hibernate, Android, Objective-C or C#; scripting skills (Perl, Shell, or any other language).
• 0-2 years experience working on mobile and/or web client applications.
