After graduation, she spent four more years studying theater andappearing in several stage productions. However, her real success came in 1997 withthe start of the TV series "Stargate SG-1" where she plays Lt. Colonel SamanthaCarter. Amanda Co-Founded the Canadian comedy group "Random Acts" and is aspokesperson for UNICEF. She has three brothers, one of which is her twin. OnSeptember 23, 1994 she married Alan Kovacs, and a daughter, Olivia B. Kovacs, wasborn on March 22, 2005.
