Bio: From 1931's Ghost Train onward, Scottish screenwriter Angus MacPhail devoted most of his time to thrillers with a light touch. MacPhail's war-time efforts included a brace of Will Hay comedies and the somewhat more sober The Foreman Went to France (1942) and Went the Day Well? (1943).
