Here, Brown worked on such projects as the 1931 version of The Maltese Falcon, I am a Fugitive from a Chain Gang (1932), 20,000 Years in Sing Sing (1933) and a handful of Warners' Perry Mason programmers. He moved on to 20th Century-Fox, where among many other assignments he collaborated on the screenplay for Three Blind Mice (1938), the story of three girls on the prowl for rich husbands.
