Dion's career as movie vocalist hit a record-breaking apex when composer James Horner enlisted her to sing the kind of love ballad director James Cameron had expressly nixed for his romance disaster epic Titanic (1997). Cameron relented when he heard the result and Dion's performance of eventual Best Song Oscar-winner "My Heart Will Go On" became as king-size a hit as Cameron's blockbuster film in 1998 (and eclipsed her vocalizing for the animated Quest for Camelot (1998)).
