Three years later, Haas wrote and had a small role in Tex, another Dillon vehicle. He shared the writing credit -- and had another bit role -- in 1990s Gremlins 2: The New Batch. Considered by many to be even better than the original, Gremlins 2 was a box-office hit. Haaslater served as a screenwriter and story author for the 1992 satire Matinee.
