Beginning his screen career in 1912 opposite future serial queen Pearl White in Crystal one-reel comedies, Barnett returned to the legitimate stage in 1920. In 1925, he co-wrote and co-directed (with Henry Otto) a screen version of Samuel Taylor Coleridge's classic The Ancient Mariner starring Clara Bow and, in the title role, veteran serial villain Paul Panzer. ~ Hans J.
