Bio: Danny Strong was born and raised in Manhattan Beach, a little borough south of Los Angeles. He attended the University of Southern California where he majored in Theater. During his tenure there, he was awarded the James Pendelton Award for Acting and was a finalist for the prestigious Irene Ryan Award given by the Kennedy Center. Upon graduation he immediately started working as an actor and was awarded a fellowship from the USC School of Theater to teach acting during the summer session (at twenty-two, he's the youngest person to ever receive this honor).
Over the next several years, his acting resume quickly grew with guest appearances on such seminal TV shows as "Third Rock from the Sun", "Seinfeld", "Nip/Tuck" and films like "Pleasantville", "Seabiscuit" and the critically acclaimed indie "New Suit". He has also had lead roles in several independent films. Danny is best known for the five years he played Jonathan Levenson on the landmark television series "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" for which he was named "One of the top ten scene stealer's on television" by the San Francisco Chronicle. He is also widely recognized for his four seasons as Doyle on "Gilmore Girls" and for his starring role opposite Amanda Bynes in the teen comedy 'Sydney White'.
Also a writer, Danny was named by Variety magazine as one of their 'Top Ten Screenwriters to Watch" for 2007. His script 'Recount' was voted number one on the 2007 Black List, an annual list of the years top screenplays as determined by Hollywood development executives. The movie stars Kevin Spacey, Laura Dern, Tom Wilkinson, John Hurt and Denis Leary and will air in 2008 on HBO. It was directed by Jay Roach and produced by Sydney Pollack & Paula Weinstein.
