Among Nesbitt's films were Room at the Top (1958), Victim (1961), The Amorous Adventures of Moll Flanders (1965), The Naked Runner (1967) (in which he and most of the supporting cast were nastily killed off in the first two reels) and Burke and Hare (1971). Nesbett's marriage to film star Anne Aubrey made headlines thanks to an acrimonious breakup in 1973; some observers have speculated that his career never fully recovered from the adverse publicity.
