Bio: Jang Dong-Gun is a South Korean actor and musician. Spending hischildhood in Yongsan-gu, Seoul, he later went on to the Hangook Schoolof Arts, dropping out before obtaining a degree. In 2000, he starred in the film Friend, whichat the time was the highest grossing Korean film of all time. Janggained widespread critical acclaim for his portrayal of a troubledhigh school student who joins the mafia, paving the way for him tostar in the 2004 Taegukgi: The Brotherhood of War, about the KoreanWar, which again shattered box office records. His portrayal of one oftwo brothers drafted into the war earned him a third Blue dragonaward.
