Regehr's first regular series work was as Prince Dirk Blackpool in the 1983 sword-and-sorcery briefie Wizards and Warriors. His breakthrough role was the part of Errol Flynn in the 1985 TV-movie adaptation of Flynn's racy autobiography My Wicked Wicked Ways. Regehr persisted in Flynn-like derring-do as star of the 1990 cable TV series Zorro.
