Bio: Starting out in the early 1930s as an assistant director at RKO, Edward Killy was promoted to the director's chair with the 1935 remake of Seven Keys to Baldpate. Killy went on to such projects as the Hildegarde Withers mystery Murder on the Bridle Path (1935) and the bucolic comedy Bunker Bean (1936) before narrowing his range to RKO's B-western product.… More Bio: Starting out in the early 1930s as an assistant director at RKO, Edward Killy was promoted to the director's chair with the 1935 remake of Seven Keys to Baldpate. Throughout the 1930s and 1940s, he was principal director of the studio's George O'Brien, Tim Holt and Robert Mitchum sagebrushers. Even after being established as a director, Killy continued accepting assistant-director assignments on the films of such RKO contractees as actress Ginger Rogers and director George Stevens.
