Reiner played one of the many stunned patrons of the restaurant, turning to the waiter after Ryan had finished her performance and quipping "I'll have what she's having." The Bronx native also appeared in other films, like The Man with Two Brains and Fatso. She also worked with the organization Another Mother for Peace, and enjoyed a successful career as a jazz singer, which she embarked upon at the age of 65.
