Bio: Harold Lloyd's co-star in The Sin of Harold Diddlebock (1947), brunette Frances Ramsden was the then-girlfriend of that troubled comedy's irreverent director, Preston Sturges. A former Conover model and reportedly an accomplished pianist, Ramsden had played a slave girl in Abbott & Costello's Lost in a Harem (1944) and a café waitress in Marlene Dietrich's Kismet (1944) before being awarded the plum role as Lloyd's leading lady in his final comedy. The subsequent failure of the film seems to have had an equally adverse affect on Ramsden's career and she completely disappeared from public view.
