Relocating to New York, Miko studied at the New York City Ballet and the Lee Strasberg Institute before a back injury brought her dancing career to a halt. Moving back to Poland and appearing in numerous films in the following few years, Miko moved back to the United States in the mid-'90s and, with her acting experiences intact, began to make a bid for the big time on the silver screens of Hollywood.
