Though he appeared in a number of films as a leading and supporting player, de Grazia did not gain much international recognition until the '80s when Argentina's cinema developed a worldwide reputation for innovation and excellence. Some of his best-known films include the noirish La Parte del Leon (The Lion's Share) (1978) and Hector Olivera's Funny, Dirty Little War (1985). De Grazia also directed occasionally.
