Louise was brought to Hollywood by Paramount in 1937, where, after serving a "B"-picture apprenticeship in a trio of Bulldog Drummond pictures, she was elevated to more important roles. Campbell seemed to make the most of the least promising assignments; her best film was the offbeat comedy/mystery/melodrama/romance Scandal Street (1937).
