Bio: Marin Karmitz is a noted producer of French films. He came to the country in 1947 and became an assistant to several important directors including Godard and Varda. In 1964 Karmitz established MK Productions. He directed his first film, Sept Jours Ailleurs in 1967. He then became an exhibitor and distributor who heavily promoted the films of hot new directors such as Wim Wenders.
