She began appearing in many Indian films, garnering not just tremendous commercial success but accumulating praise from critics as well. She appeared in films like 2003's The Hero: Love Story of a Spy, and in 2004 she appeared in Veer-Zaara. Another particularly successful hit for Zinta came in 2007 with the romantic comedy Jhoom Barabar Jhoom.
