That is where Ramona gets her brown eyes and Spanish name. Ramona had no acting training prior to her role on "Outnumbered" (2007), making her exactly what the producers were looking for. When Ramona was five, she was spotted by the script writer's wife at a birthday party and was immediately recommended for the role of "Karen" because of her "Interesting personality" and ability to be "sure of herself without being precocious". Ramona took on the role of "Karen Brockman" and, in 2007, five-year-old Ramona captured the hearts of people all over Britain with her quick wit and childish charm. Ramona can still be seen as "Karen" on the BBC1 today, three years after her debut. In 2009, Ramona booked the role of "Imogen Pollock" in the made-for-TV Movie Enid (2009) (TV), detailing the life of children's writer Enid Blyton. Later in 2009, Ramona became the first child to win the British Comedy Award for "Best Female Comedy Newcomer". "Outnumbered" (2007) also won two other comedy awards on the night, including "Best TV Comedy". In 2010, Ramona was once again seen on our TV screens portraying her role as "Karen Brockman" in "Outnumbered" (2007) season 3. Her quick wit and fluent improvising gained the attention of many critics who praised her profoundly. Later that year, Ramona played Princess Margaret in the critically-acclaimed movie The King's Speech (2010). This marked Ramona's first big screen role but she played it with such grace and elegance that you would have thought she was a seasoned film actress. While Ramona did not have much screen time in the movie, she still managed to steal every scene she was in. The critics even took notice calling her "instantly adorable " and "charming". Something not to be taken lightly in a movie filled with big-name actors. Today, Ramona lives in London with her family. She goes to school and plays with her friends, just like any normal child. Ramona may be a hit on television screens around the world, but at home, she's just Ramona. Watch this space, as you can expect great things from this talented girl in the not so distant future.
