Bio: Reece Shearsmith is best know for his work as a quarter of The League ofGentlemen with fellow actors/writers Steve Pemberton, Mark Gatiss andJeremy Dyson, but has several other TV appearances alongside stage work inLondon. From March to November 2006 he appeared in The Producers as LeoBloom.

His main film work waswith the rest of The League of Gentlemen in the 2005 movie The League ofGentlemen's Apocalypse, but he has had cameos in Birthday Girl [2002] andThe Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy [2005].

Shearsmith is well known for his absurb characters who speak gibberish -Papa Lazarou, the wife collecting circus act and Pamela Doove, the crazedStanislavskian performer, being two good examples.

He studied at Bretton Hall College (now part of the University of Leeds)where he met his fellow League members. He now resides in North Londonwith wife Jane and their children Danny and Holly.
