Bio: A former mining engineer, life insurance salesman, and vaudeville performer, Iowa-born Rex Taylor entered motion pictures authoring screenplays for various Paramount companies in 1916. Continuing in the light comedy vein, Taylor scripted for Laura La Plante and Reginald Denny, the studio's reigning farceurs at the time.
