On stage, he has starred in everything from Cyrano de Bergerac to The Cherry Orchard to Becket. Lindsay launched his film career in the rock musical That'll Be the Day (1973), starring David Essex. He made his American film debut in Bert Rigby, You're a Fool (1989).
