She starred alongside Debra Messing in the movie The Wedding Date and had a role in The Holiday with Jude Law, Cameron Diaz, Jack Black and Kate Winslet. Her most recent apperance was as the Empress Of Racnoss in the Christmas 2006 "Doctor Who" episode "The Runaway Bride."Parish co-owns the production company Aphra Productions with actress Dervla Kirwan.

Parish lives in Islington, London. She has a Border Terrier dog called Pig, and drives a Mercedes-Benz SLK in silver.Her hobbies include fencing, swimming and scuba diving; and she apparently has a love for cleaning.Parish is currently dating the actor James Murray, who is six years her junior.
