Interestingly enough, when the TNT cable service produced The Court Martial of Jackie Robinson in 1990, Shaw was cast as yet another barrier-breaking sports icon, boxer Joe Louis. Stan Shaw's other TV credits include the part of lawyer Lafayette Tate on the 1983 series The Mississippi and guest-starring roles on such series as Murder, She Wrote, L.A. Law and Starsky and Hutch.
