Bio: Already a veteran of the Peking Opera, he starred in countless black and white costume dramas before son Woo-ping Yuen cast him in _Snake in Eagle's Shadow_ , the film which launched Jackie Chan's career. These two films saw his stock rising and on the production of one film, he had to change hotels every night to avoid producers with dubious connections. He died during the filming of the Sammo Hung picture _The Magnificent Butcher_, meaning his scenes had to be re-filmed.
