I wanted to say that new 1/2 star ratins are AWESOME! I found that a lot of movies that i rated I wanted to give them 1/2's so i think that was a great idea. I also have a suggestion of having a chat room section so we can talk about movies with other people.
It'll be cool if user are categorised based on the type of movie they like. For example, if one like 60% art house, then the user will be considered art house freak, Vice versa for user who loves blockbuster films.
would it be possible to have a little notification beside people in the friends list in "My Profile" to all of them that have rated (or re-rated) movies? As well, when you are logged in and in the "Home" page, could there be a little box there for the same, just the people in the friends list who have new movies? That would be great.
Please have an option to submit an image for a film if there isn't one, and then the admin can accept/decline it later. This makes things easier for you guys, and we do the hard work :)
We need more fun things to do then just rate movies. I get bored doing this sometimes. I think more intresting quizes or anyhting that'll keep people coming back for more each week!
Id Personally like to have personal MCT's but if thats too hard why not just make more or something. also there should be links to imdb. and freewebs.
theres a few (although not very many good) movies missing. but thats understandable.

thanks for the ongoing comments. Been thinking a lot about ways to let people personalize homepages a bit - without going too crazy and making stuff unreadable.
Also thinking a lot about more quizzes, more cool movie content and better ways to meet people on the site all of which people have mentioned. lots of stuff in the works!

I too would like to see a messaging system of some description on the site. It seems strange to me to have a 'friends' list but no way of contacting one of them if you both happen to be on the site at the same time.
I too would also appreciate different ways to search for films and members, as well as highlighting members or being able to recommend them if they write a (or many)good reviews.
I'm sure there are other things but I appreciate the speed and simplicity of the site at the moment so please don't make finding and rating a film any more complicated if you don't need too.

I agree. I think users who put some time and effort into their reviews should be recognized somehow. Maybe having a feature where other users could give a +1 rating to the user for a good review, and then the ratings could build up and maybe there could be certain titles for each amount of points. (Ex: 10 points gives a user the title of: I have no idea but I'm sure someone could think of some creative titles).
Also, I think being able to change the colors of your profile would be a good feature.
Hey Joe, what happened to the extended content idea? I remember coming onto Flixster a few weeks ago and seeing a "Favourite Pictures and Scenes" section on all movies. But when I came back to the site it was gone?
Anyways, I like the idea about prefered reviewers and still think that it would it would be good to see how many of each rating we have, we could then accurately see how many movies we have seen.
