Lol, yh King Kong was kinda sad, The Shawshank Redemption was only a tear-jerker of sheer happiness at the end of the movie when the message of hope comes into light. Million dollar baby was on the verge of bringing out tears from me.

I am surprised no one mentioned Old Yeller (unless they did and I just wasn't paying attention). Watching Follow that Bird starring none other than Big Bird was the most I ever cried from a movie. Keep in mind, though, I haven't seen it since I was like 10.

"Il Postino" easily... although "The Virgin Suicides" was pretty sad too...

And you can't say that Reservoir Dogs is a bad movie and compliment The English Patient on the same sentence. Really risky criticism...

"And you can't say that Reservoir Dogs is a bad movie and compliment The English Patient on the same sentence. Really risky criticism..."

Reservoir Dogs is cinematic-trash unworthy of anyone's attention.

The English Patient on the other hand is near-perfect and a Dramatic masterpiece.

So, risky criticism? Whatever. I don't feel at risk, I feel quite fine. In fact, I'm feeling rather warm and comfortable at the moment, and just about ready to pounce on anyone with ignorance enough to attack The English Patient.

I was being ironic when I said it was risky criticism...

Of course you liked The English Patient, it's another safe boring movie with nothing to say... You can say whatever you want about Reservoir Dogs but that will not make The English Patient any better.

Is ignorance abundant on these forums, or is it mainly isolated with you?

I'd tell you what is obvious about The English Patient, but last time I did that I was branded a female, since I made so much damn sense that it was a last verbal resort for everyone involved.

As for saying it's "boring"; that shows how one-dimensional you appear to be when it comes to cinema's finest.

And yes, The English Patient is the best film to have ever won the Best Picture Oscar.

I'd be nice, but when I have had two different people directly insult me for stating that I despise Reservoir Dogs, and almost ridiculing me because I like The English Patient... I will thereafter refuse to play by the rules.

If no one likes what I think, criticise me maturely, rather than directly insulting me and branding a film as "awful" without any evidence or mention of why.

The saddest movie for me would have to be The Fast and the Furious. My father and I cried so much when they crashed that black Charger. I mean, did you see the blower on that thing. I can't beleive they didnt' talk about that at the oscars.

The most recent movie i watched that made me shed a few tears was King Kong at the end. The Colour Purple is sad the whole way through.
