"What's Eating Gilbert Grape?" I love that film, it's awesome, I think it's really cute how that family seems to pull through through anything. Leo Dicaprio was awesome in it, I think him and Sean Penn are the best at playing mentally challenged people.

The Shipping News was my last movie, I had to watch it for school though so I don't think it counts, besides I didn't really like it, didn't stick with the book. anywho, the movie just before that would be When a stranger calls, actually not as crappy as one might think!
