Alright, I have a strange question.. (and I've noticed that it sort of gets asked, but never quite fully in the previous posts)
The user ranking system automatically making questions deleted.. I understand the concept, but are there any tips on how to keep people from giving a thumbs down for legit questions? To me, if you stump me with a movie question.. thumbs up.. (even if I know the answer, but think it's a good question..but if i'm stumped it's a given) What I have noticed however, is that.. Numerous questions come up that are repeats, or near repeats of others.. also, the questions that stay in seem to ALL be about common movies or actors.. I have several questions that have a higher thumbs down ratio, but they are GOOD questions.. it's not a "bad" question because people get it wrong because they don't know who Danny Kaye is (for example).. I watch movies, everything from indie, classics, right on up to the damned top grossing newer movies..
So, to wrap up, how do you give "challenging" questions, without getting them deleted because people think anything they don't know is a dumb question?.. The only reason I keep playing is for the few challenging questions.. the rest are pretty boring.. (and are on constant repeat)... Any tips?
hey next to the submit answer button (to the left) it say disabled it wont answer the question it wont even open up a new page. HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!!! I WANT TO PLAY
Hmm.. I don't remember seeing this asked before, but if it has just tell me where...
How do you report a bad question AFTER you've answered it?..
In a question about Paul Rudd it asked what his first movie was, and says it is The Object of My Offection ('98), but in fact he did MANY movies before that.. Including Romeo & Juliet (which was pretty hard to miss) in '96.. and a few back in the '80s as well.. Once I aske I can't find the questions number either.. so.. hmm..
Can anyone tell me if the top user chart is mixed up. Saturday the top user had about 7 or 800,000 and today it says top user is only 22,988. Also there used to be a category for most questions asked and it is gone now. Will this return?

You probably were looking at the top user on Saturday and the more recent time you were looking at the top user for the week. Also the most questions tab is still on hte leaderboard too, it never disappeared to the best of my ability.
collegekid i got your answer about the rating chart but unfortunately mine is still not correct. Today is Tuesday at 1:30 pm (Ontario time). I checked top user of all time and it states 23,079. I even got my son to check on his computer. The most questions asked was not there. There were however top user by review, top user by profile views and top user by forum posts. If i am doing the quiz and check top user online it shows Mary at 670,000 something which is correct but chart is still wrong. Has it been changed?
sounds as if you are looking in the wrong spot for the most questions asked it is on the same leaderboard as the quiz points along with highest percentage correct. and I have no problems with the high scores list it is as it should be. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.
For the quiz I have over 2000 points and it still says I'm "Unranked". What does this mean? What do I do to be ranked?
You just need to get around 2500 points to get a ranking and from there you continue to move up based on how many points you have. You need around 900 thousand to hit the top of the list.
I'm not complaining about this user, but for seom reason every time that Flixsters1andOnlyPrincess posts in the chat her posts show up that they were posted -2 minutes ago and therefore are all clogging the top of the board. Not sure what is wrong just thought you all should now.
I saw a message in the random chatter that was posted -1 minutes ago too. I thought it was a mark on my monitor but if its happening elsewhere then maybe it is a problem.
Are our quiz questions being moderated now? I noticed that one I have been getting very few (none that I can remember) new questions and also that the couple that I wrote this morning hae not been rated or answered in the 30 minutes or so that they have been up. Just wondering.
On about half of the questions, no choices appear below the question. Rather, I only get the "Movies, actors, directors" search bar instead. Any suggestions?
Yeah those are the search and select questions they are designed like that. It makes it so that you have to know who/what movie the question pertains to.
I gotta agree the quiz has changed, seem to be receiving questions that are just plain stupid, with typos, never seem to be more 90 people that answered them, and that are completely incorrect.
its too bad you can't skip a bad question without it being incorrect.
for example, received one today about "who was the voice 4 mummy for happy feet"... and im thinking Elijah Wood but he is nowhere on the list...
I have a question about the section where it shows your friends and how many points they have....how come it doesn't show all my friends that are ranked?
If they're ranked, then it should show them. I have one friend who has: Points: 27960 Rank: 7322, but he is not on the drop down list.
