I like both, but the TV series doesn't tell all of the original story, like Sailor Moon for example, ALOT was chopped from the original. I was blown away when I got the manga O_O
I like both very much, but I'd prefer manga.. if I could afford it. Manga at least gets the whole storey in while anime just skips over some important details.
i say if you a true fan of anime...you'd like both....besides didnt you guys know that manga is just the name for comic in japanese so its no diff to anime sept a bit different in view..(Chaz gives everyone the look that saukes has...)

Yeah, much like the ill fated comic book, much of the back story or sub-plots get excluded from the anime version.
And if you live in the States much of it's mature content gets censored as well. Which explains why so many here (in the States) views them as cartoons.
Funny story about my experience with manga.
Before I knew what the word "No" was translated, I thought the caractors were just yelling for some random reson.
well i guess i like manga since it's usually the original and plus when they make the anime, they change stuff sometimes ( ex. FMA ) and also they make the art look all different and weird O.o ( ex. Full moon wo sagashite )
I like both but usually the anime doesn't tell the background story and cuts out so much of the original story( f.ex Mirage of Blaze)
On the brigt side the anime usually offers a nicer drawing style ( f.ex Get Backers) and it's usualy the best way to get someone into the anime/manga world.( I'm sure of that many girls world wide got introduced to anime by watching Sailor Moon on tv as kids)
Most of the time the producers use the anime as a teaser to get more fans to read the manga.
I can't really choose, because they're both just so awesome. sometimes i like anime cuz u can actually hear them talk and manga cuz it's the actual story
You really have to liek both, because there usually diffrent stories.
And just so everyone knows, usually cause they have restriction like a number of episodes. In the case of FMA, the story is mostly the same up till half, then it completely separates caus ethe anime was ahead of the manga, way ahead. I have to say, they did a great job in the anime.
..also, I did not know this, but in anime, they draw the anime first then they record the voices. You'd think they do it the other way around.
Im probably the only one, but this confuses me to no end. Probably because Manga is also the name of a film company that releases anime; Perfect Blue, Devil Man, etc. I am assuming, when everyone talks about Manga, they are talking about animated books. So, I will say I like anime better because you can get information so much faster from movies than a book. Then again you retain more information you read than you see. However, U can read a book once and that's it, anime has so much more long term value.
