Imagine the galleons of Depp-juice spraying across the faces of celebrities such as Keith Richards (post-whiskey), Stellan Skarsgārd, and "Rat-Face" Orlando Bloom himself? I'd be a happy man, come that day, because not only would a larger group of petty young girls cry throughout the forums and commit suicide than I could ever have comprehended (I believe I've been responsible for a few teen deaths on here... *sigh*... back in the old days...), but these forums would actually have a fighting chance of retaining coherency.

I have nothing against Johnny Depp as an actor. He is very talented, nearly every one of his roles are great. But what I do have a problem with is the die-hard fans of Johnny Depp.

Actually Mollyalex, I have a lot of respect for the man. I think he's one of the best actors of his generation and I also respect the fact that he LIVES A PRIVATE LIFE. This is a man who hides his personal life, then that rotten film known as Pirates of the Carribean (which I actually liked, at first) came out and made him a household name of "hotness" with teenie boppers.
This thread was made as a joke, we don't actually want him dead, but it's an exaggeration of how much we despise the stream of Depp fanatics who are overtaking MANY AREAS of the forum.

What I don't understand is why did everyone suddenly start to love him when POTC came out? Just because it was a big blockbuster and it was the people who only watch big, famous films? It's a shame he only gets mentioned for playing Jack Sparrow. He has played a lot of other FAR BETTER characters. He played with heart, emotion and determination such as Donnie Brasco and Blow. I feel like people only like him because of that one movie. It' sad, he's a great actor, one of the best. But there's a lot mroe to him than his looks.

I don't think your presence in this necessary thread was... well... necessary. Fact is that you're defending this onslaught of Depp-loving, and I think you should back down before you're swallowed whole by the absolute rage these swarms of Depp-fanatics have brought out of the more competent users of these forums.

As others have said, Depp can't help who his fans are, nor how they respond to him. He does try to lead a private life, but others don't allow him too, nor do they allow any other actor/actress to do so. He is an incredibly talented actor, and a great person. Whether the "I hope he dies" type of stuff is a joke or not, it is rude and immature. If you want to talk about "teeny boppers" being immature with how they respond to him (which even women who are married and in their 40's+ do the same thing) then fine, but wishing for the death of one person for such a lame and immature reason is ridiculous.
By the way, Disney has already said that they are considering on making more, and Depp himself said he would be willing to continue them. So you can stop wishing that he dies in POTC3 and so on.

And Depp was very famous before said films. And what I consider "true fans" knew him, loved him and respected him way before the Pirate films and have seen him in more stuff that that.
I disagree. I think johnny depp should be fatally injured so that he'll stop making these bloody POTC movies which in turn produce these legions of 'deppies'.
