Tom Cruise started out as one of the best upcomming actors in the 90's, till he jumped on Oprah's couch and everything changed he can still is an incredible actor with natural talent, but it's the real man, the man he once was that has changed.
Watching a few of his films lately has made me think of him as almost....gone or dead, he is a completely different person now. Watching his older movies (Days of Thunder or Top Gun) brought back some memories.
Yeah I have to agree on your post. The guy is a great actor, his personal life really isn't any of our business but I still feel almost like he was an influence to my life as a kid. I still respect him, no matter what the costs.
Who knows maybe one day he'll reserect the old Tom.
Like I said in other threads about him, he is a great actor regardless of his religious beliefs. Religious beliefs is a personal thing. Why should we care about it? It does not change the fact that he is a very good actor.
Yes I understand that but the thing I thought was extremely out of hand was his producers fired him. So he went out and found new ones haha. Still that was a stupid reason.
He is a pretty good actor but I think it just shows what huge amounts of money can do to some unstable people - LOL! He just needs a good dose of reality to chill him out a little.
Good actor, but in reality is a ass. His remarks on Brooke Shields & many other moms who go thru postpartum, he has some nerve making those statements. Like he knows what women go thru after childbirth.I know he apologized...big deal only for his status..86% of his fans are women. Good actor ,but a pompass ass.
In his earlier films I thought he would grow to be a great actor. But then it seemed he reached his limit in talent,I do not think he can really be able to do anything else well, other than action films like MI.Rather a disappointment.
As far as him being crazy, well the couch thing on Oprah was stupid. I think a publicity thing actually.
Sure he loves her, she was having his BABY?
is it not funny that he first married Mimi Rogers, they could not conceive. Then he marries Nicole Kidman, and again can not conceive, adopts two children. Suddenly he is with Katie Holmes and a miracle happens , he no longer shot blanks......ahhh scientology....lol Or is it just science?
I really love his old movies like The Firm,Interview with a Vampire and of course Jerry Maguire. His personal life is all over the place though and the films he makes now make me think..'Woah...tell me this ain't true'!
no what what he is like in his personnal life, the man has done some great movies. i've love his early stuff (cocktail, a few good men, days of thunder, risky business) but i also like his later roles (mission impossible, collateral, minority report)
i haven't enjoyed all his films liked 'born on the 4th of july' and 'far and away' but his films will live on.
