I have the same thing, but only because most bands I like are not very popular in the Netherlands. When I talk to people from the US they usually know what I'm talking about. Anyway I haven't heard of any bands you mentioned, either. I may look them up, though.

I was only half thinking about putting COC on the list ecause they were pretty old, so I didn't really know them when they came out anyway.
