Cmon it's a book. The new one's coming out in a couple weeks anyways so I'm sure you can wait to find out. And she isn't a fibber but she stays secretive on some stuff. She doesn't lie about anything though.
You see I'm in doubt of this theory now, but I'll post it anyway.
Firstly, the Avada Kadavra Curse which Snape used on Dumbledore, caused Dumbledore to be "blasted into the air" (p556). All other instances where the Killing curse took life held no such result. The victim merely fell to the ground lifelessly. More worthy of note is the amount of emphasis which the book placed on non-verbal spells. Snape, with all his ability, could just as well have stated the killing curse, but instead, thought a different spell. Afterall, the Avada Kadavra curse is not meant to do what it did, so a different spell was most likely used.
Secondly, Dumbledore's last words when face to face with Malfoy were:
"Come over to the right side Draco, and we can hide you more completely than you can possibly imagine..." (p552-553)
Now, this is more than a tad bit suss. Dumbledore was foreshadowing exactly what he has been planning this whole year. He's done it before too. In the Order of The Phoenix Dumbledore hid from the Ministry of Magic for a full year. They never found him. When Snape used his spell on Dumbledore, and Dumbledore fell from the tower, he could have transfigured a lifeless corpse of himself, from thin air. After all, he is skilled enough to do so. That could be the body they found. Something else of the sort might have happened, but this fits.
That about sums up why I thought Dumbledore was not dead. But I'm not so sure now.
In the Order of the Phoenix, the prophecy is very ambiguous. It states: "and either must die at the hand of the other for neither can live while the other survives." (p741). I think a twist is going to be based on that segment of the prophecy...
Maybe Harry can only ever live a normal life until Voldemort dies and Voldemort may only ever live without fear of being bested until Harry has fallen. With that in mind, neither character would have to fight each other at all and someone other than Harry could end up killing Voldemort in the end. The "power the Dark Lord knows not" (p741) could be referring to Harry's ability to love. All in all, the prophecy would be fulfilled even without a duel to the death. Maybe something else like that could happen.

But it does make for some great dialogue.
Harry "Dumpydore you're alive!"
Dumbledore "Why yes harry i am"
Harry "But how?"
Dumbledore "Well on page fivehundredandsomething you may have noticed when i got hit by the avada kadavra curse i wa blasted away. But if you go back to goblet of fire you would see that when one is usually hit with the curse they just die. So from this we can conclude that snape didn't use the curse at all he was just pretending."
Harry "WTF......"
Dumbledore "So uhhh how was my funeral... many people come?"
Harry "WTF......"
See, yeah as clever as a theory may seem. When put into play it really doesnt make any sense at all.
He is too. Sorry I think I might have been thinking of Bellatrix Lestrange. Anyway, Regalus could have been RAB. That's just my conjecture though. Meh.
