    True.

But you will always have those few authors that will always instantly come to your mind when asked who your favorite author/s is/are, right?

Lois is such a good author. I love his novel The Giver.

It is a hard choice to decide who your all time fave author is. There are so many well written novels. Each time I read a novel that is good, I think about making list of my top 10 fave authors. Its hard to do though almost like making a list of your top 10 fave actors when you have 3 to 4 fighting for the top spot.

Yes, that's true.. it's not easy, but every one has his or her BEST author/s. I think instead of asking for the name of the author, it will be better asking for the name of the Book/s or Novel/s :)

my best are: "Pride and Prejudice", "Dracula", "Black Beauty", "Five Children and It".. What about you?

    Best.........

Fahrenheit 451 just blew me away when I read it.

Aside from it, Oryx and Crake, Stargirl, Neverwhere, Veronica Decides to Die, Running with Scissors, and The Life and Times of Adrian Mole are just superb.

I'm planning to get more classics in the future, like Great Expectations and Wuthering Heights.

I like Tom Sawyer and DR.Jeckyl and Mr.Hyde. Both good books.

Unlike many of you, it isn't hard for me at all to pick my fav writer.

#1 in my list: Chuck Palahniuk.

What a genius mind! His writing style just blows me away. I don't know where he gets all those terrific ideas from, but I'm glad he does.

So you're really into horror I guess.

    How 'bout fantasy?

Please don't tell me you love J.K Rowling 'cuz that's just so typical.

meh...not really, I'm not like totally obsessive with stephen king, pretty much the only reason I like him is b/c he wrote FireStarter, and it wasn't that creepy, Robert Morgan is like fictional history or something, and Stephenie Meyer writes the Twilight books, which don't really qualify as horror, not 2 me anyways :) uh........not totally in2 fantasy actually, I used 2 love j.k rowling but now I've gotten over it, so I got over my fantasy stage....altho twilight might count....maybe......I dunno lol, would vampires and werewolves count under fantasy? I'm so stupid, they can I think, but the book itself doesn't seem like fantasy.
