I'm not a fan of Johnny Depp, but I think these are the best films he's been in:

Performance-wise, I'd say:

1) Pirates trilogy (Jack Sparrow is his best and most famous character which he portrayed ever)

He's always very good, his a very talented man, and I agree with Ed Wood and all those. ^_^

I've not yet seen Sweeney Todd, but I always hear that he was amazing in that film.

I haven't seen most of his films. I like him in Nightmare on Elm Street (his 1st ever role). In Pirates he is good too, but I am not so much into those.

If you want, you all are free to explain why you've chosen the movies you took.

I choose Blow as number one because its not very popular as a film. Johnny does a fantastic job and it was before he really caught on with Pirates.

He does make a great job as Jung, he even meant the real Jung so that he could train to be more like him for the film.

Which is pretty cool.

Yeah, he did the same in Donnie Brasco, he learned everything from the real cop who portayed Brasco.

Johnny is pretty cool.

Leonardo Dicaprio spent some time reasearching his role in Whats Eating Gilbert Grape.

Yeah I know =) Leonardo does an remarkable role there.

Back to JD, he can really play different roles, going from the innocent sweet Edward Scissohands to the brutal killer Sweeney Todd. He's an amazing actor, he really is, because he is really trustworthy.

I'm just in mourning due to Johnny Depp winning an MTV Movie Award for PIRATES OF THE CARRIBEAN! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Comedic my arse, i can't stand it, his performance is dung, it's horrible.

Best villain alright i mean i am outnumbered by the tons of fans who vote for him, but i was just left in tears by how my opinion is just hopeless compared to the millions who thinks his performance in POTC was good.

It's ghastly, irritating, annoying, head bangingly AWFUL!!!

The other thing that left me in tears that night was Transformers winning Best Film, has the public gone mad?!

I won't say his performance in Pirates was bad. But those movies overall are kinda crappy and very very overrated.

At the Award Show Johnny did not seem to pleased to have won the award.
