The Story so Far: Aleera Erasmus is the only daughter of Kraven and Sefira Erasmus, the remaining vampire Royals of Earth. When she was young, the Dread Knight invades their coven, kills her parents, and kidnaps her younger brother. Aleera manages to escape with the help of Nico Minoru, her mother’s childhood friend and a powerful spellcaster. Through her, Aleera learns how to fight, as well as how to cast a few spells, and together, they prepare to begin a war against the Dread Knight and his forces.
During the course of her training, she meets Ryder, another victim of the Dread Knight’s nightly raids in his unceasing quest to vanquish all beings he deems as evil. Ryder comes from the mythical Dark Elves, who specialize in hand-to-hand combat. Her lover was killed during the raid, thus her hatred for everything and anyone concerned with the Dread Knight, and so she willingly joins Aleera in fighting their nemesis.
On the side of good, the Dread Knight is training Strike, a young girl who he “rescued” from the castle of Aleera’s father, Kraven. She is actually Aleera’s half-sister, but since she was stolen from her family when she was a baby, she has no knowledge of the past. The Dread Knight plans to use her against her sister in their ultimate battle, but with Strike’s unknown ability, he is uneasy. What he needs is to regain the possession of Calimero, Aleera’s younger brother, who he sent to the land of the Ardonians, the fierce warrior people of the ancient kingdom.
Back on the Aleera’s camp, there has been a rift between her and Nico Minoru, wherein they can’t seem to agree on how to attack the Dread Knight’s enforcements. After a long and arduous struggle, Nico Minoru joins the Dread Knight’s side and leaves her alter ego, Claire, in her place.
A few years after fighting each other, Aleera and the Dread Knight finally meet face-to-face. Instead of killing his nemesis, however, the Dread Knight reveals one of the most shocking secrets: Aleera is actually his daughter, who was stolen from him by Kraven and Sefira Erasmus, in order to extract revenge on him when the Dread Knight killed Kraven’s father. Instead of accepting the truth, however, Aleera denies it, and goes deeper into the dark arts.
While on a journey into a distant land, Aleera meets the Virtue of Darkness, a renegade knight who follows only one cause: his own. Together, they begin a reign of terror, sparing no one. During the course of their travels, Aleera meets Nico Minoru, and tells her another secret: that SHE is Aleera’s real mother, and that everything Aleera believes to be the truth is actually a lie. This revelation twists Aleera’s already twisted mind, but she sees this as an opportunity to extract revenge from the Dread Knight (who up to now she refuses to call ‘father’). Under the guise of a truce, she goes with her mother back to the Dread Knight’s keep.
The Dread Knight and the rest of his forces welcome her with open arms, save for the Dread Knight’s brother (and Aleera’s uncle), who senses something is wrong.
Dad: Yes, lol, I know.. xD do you want to have a real name (what people call you as when you're not attacking your opponents), or leave that a mystery?
Emmie: YAY!!! *hugs*
Btw, going to post the main backdrop of your story and why we're at war... xD
Your alter ego eh. What does it feel like to have an alt ego? I have two sides to me: the shy-romantic side and the hyper-fun-loving side. Is that the same thing as alter ego? Because my sides quite often disagree with each other hence leading to contradictory things.
