Tim Burton is such a cool guy. He is my favourite director. My favourite film from him and favourite film of all time is Sweeney Todd. As Johnny has appeared in six of Tims films, I think that this is Johnnys best performance in a Tim Burton film especially after his Oscar nomination.
Order of Tim Burton films:
1. Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber Of Fleet Street
2. Edward Scissorhands
3. Sleepy Hollow
4. Big Fish
5. Charlie And The Chocolate Factory
6. Batman
7. The Nightmare Before Christmas
8. Beetlejuice
9. Batman Returns
10. Ed Wood
11. Corpse Bride
12. Pee Wee's Big Adventure
13. Planet Of The Apes
14. Mars Attacks!
Tim Burton is no doubt a very disturbed man but a great director at that. Pee-Wees Big Adventure was totally bizzare yet miracuously funny, Edward Scissor Hands was again bizzare yet one of his finest movies, Planet of the Apes was one of my favorites and again great movie, but I'd have to say Big Fish was his best films yet.
I like Batman and Planet of the apes both. Planet Of The Apes is better to me. I'm a hardcore Batman fan, that is why I prefer the late and new Batman movies.
Ed Wood, for me. That's not only his greatest directorial achievement, but it fits in with his earlier work better than Big Fish (I really love it, but it's not the B-movie, gothic stylist Burton that I know and love) and features arguably Johnny Depp's best performance as well.
