Anyone to believe there is a Matrix 4 must be gullable. The Wachowski Brothers officially ended the franchise with number 3. After Matrix 3 came out Warner Brothers worked with SEGA to deliver an MMORPG that served as a sequel to Matrix 3. It met to so so reviews and resulted in the game to tank to the bottom.
The Wachowski Brothers are too busy with other titles for them to hink of a Matrix 4.Plus the storyline basically closed with the ending of the 3rd film so if there were to be new titles they would be preludes to the trilogy. Don't expect a Matrix 4 anytime soon because it won't happen.
I agree. I personally think if they want to make a similar film to Matrix franchise then they should make it a different movie with a different plot and not a sequel or worse a remake.
The Matrix Trilogy did surprisingly well financially and critically. Seeing a number 4 wouldn't surprise me but it wouldn't be anytime soon. I know Warner Brothers would want to make a part 4 but without the Wachowski Brothers approval means that it won't happen anytime soon.
The Wachowski Brothers have many other projects to work on at the moment so a possible part 4 of The Matrix saga would be very unlikely anytime soon. Maybe when CGI technology advances more we would see a possible Matrix 4. Also its rumored now that The Wachowski Brothers are secretly working on a Blu ray set of the Matrix Trilogy. That right there would be promising:)
I personally loved the first film; it had a balance of all the elements that make up a good film. After that, they got worse and worse. Reloaded ran way too long on boring dialogue and then ran too long on action sequences.
Then, "Revolutions" was just complete special effects. Dialogue ran for a good 15 mins of the entire film.
It isn't going to happen anytime soon. right now the Wachowski Brothers are working on different projects. One of them is a produced project called Ninja Assassin which is due out early next year. After that they might look at other licenses to go after but Matrix is officially done for them.
They won't go back to it anytime soon and if they wanted to it would be pointless really. all of the film is explained and even the sidestories are explained as well in The Animatrix. There really isn't any other storyline to explain. More or less if it was to be continued it would be just for money reasons and thats basically about it.
As long as it has a good storyline I wouldn't bother for number 4,5 or 6.
What the person on that website was saying is that it is likely there could be a Matrix 4. He didn't say it's coming out in a year or 2 or anything like that. All he was referring to is that there is a possibility a number 4 can happen but it isn't stated it will happen anytime soon.
Alot of people(like myself) don't really wanna see a Matrix 4. All 3 films basically closed all storylines and seeing a chapter 4 would be unlikely. All doors were closed in part 3 so there wouldn't be a possibility of a sequel and if it revolves around neo being resurrected or something like that then I most certainly wouldn't watch it.
All Matrix 4 would possibly be is a visual effects heavy film and thats basically it.
