The song is The Beginning Is The End Is The Beginning by the Smashing Pumpkins. Not to be confused with The End Is The Beginning Is The End by the same band.
These songs were also on the Batman and Robin soundtrack.
I think they got this one right. I WANT to think they got this one right. The trailer smacks of genuine respect for the source material and I love the casting choices, they went for who can nail the role, not who can guarantee box office. Love it.
Anyone interested in Watchmen should check out last years Little Children. In my opinion it's one of the best films of the last decade, if not the best.
It stars Patrick Wilson (Nite Owl II) and Jackie Earle Haley (Rorschach) giving their very finest performances.
Well in terms of height he is the tallest (joint with Jeffrey Dean Morgan) but his build does look rather slim. I think it is just the perspective of the shot. Have you seen The Lookout? He's awesome in that.
Yeah, he was great in The Lookout, and I'm not questioning his acting, just that he should have put on some muscle. Veidt is a badass, and Goode doesn't look like one. He also looks a little young for "the world's smartest man"
"Watchmen" is a mystery adventure set in an alternate 1985 America in which costumed superheroes are part of the fabric of everyday society, and the "Doomsday Clock" - which charts the USA's tension with the Soviet Union - is permanently set at five minutes to midnight.
When one of his former colleagues is murdered, the washed-up but no less determined masked vigilante Rorschach sets out to uncover a plot to kill and discredit all past and present superheroes. As he reconnects with his former crime-fighting legion - a ragtag group of retired superheroes, only one of whom has true powers - Rorschach glimpses a wide-ranging and disturbing conspiracy with links to their shared past and catastrophic consequences for the future. Their mission is to watch over humanity...but who is watching the watchmen?
It looks like Silent Bob got to see the film and here's what he's got to say:
I saw Watchmen. It's fucking astounding. The Non-Disclosure Agreement I signed prevents me from saying much, but I can spout the following with complete joygasmic enthusiasm: Snyder and Co. have pulled it off. Remember that feeling of watching Sin City on the big screen and being blown away by what a faithful translation of the source material it was, in terms of both content and visuals? Triple that, and you'll come close to watching Watchmen. Even Alan Moore might be surprised at how close the movie is to the book. March can't come soon enough.
