from Donnie Darko up it gets a bit dodgy because i care so much less.
It's taking every ounce of self restraint not to attack ome of those options . . . buuuut it's the poster's opinion and until I come to power theirs' no way i can control that

Sorry, Walrus did you consider just using your effort on seeing Picnic at Hanging Rock? Its themes are not obvious, but boy are they there. It's not an easy film to get through, but like many of those films they are packed with fascinating ideologies and suggestions.
Just see it again, without turning the TV off everytime there isn't some neo-nazi trying to stamp a man on a curb (American History X i think is a garish and over-dramatic film and only worth watching for Edward Norton, in my opinion)
Seven although high up in the list does not mean it is better, i find Seven interesting as a film that although isn't the favourite of favourite in the public's perception, i think it deserves a higher spot, it just appeals to me more, it's a matter of personal opinion, not snottiness.
BondFiction, i will never understand why you put Superbad above The Usual Suspects and L.A. Confidential. I find Superbad unrealistic and poor as an excuse for comedy. Hot Fuzz looses it in the final act and why they hell is FRIDAY on there, it's AWFUL!

While The Usual Suspects and L.A. Confidential are terrific films, I'm a sucker for a great comedy. I felt that Superbad was both realistic and hilarious, and I could relate to aspects of the characters on a personal level.
Hot Fuzz looses it in the final act
Not at all! The third act is when that film comes together perfectly! All the jokes that had been set-up beforehand are knocked out of the park, and the action hits all the right notes. The movie reminds you it's not just an homage/parody of American buddy-cop films, but it can hold its own in that genre as well.
and why they hell is FRIDAY on there, it's AWFUL!
Friday is fucking hysterical, I don't know what you're on.
