Hated it, hated it, hated it. Boring, ponderous, pornographic, badly acted, badly directed, Megan Fox looks like 30 year old stripper, Michael Bay still making films. World is going to hell in a handcart.

I never liked the Transformers tv series but the first film was pretty good. The trailers to number 2 look solid but idk if it would be excellent. Maybe on a technical standpoint it would hold up but storywise it would possibly be mediocre. The best summer films I seen so far was Terminator Salvation,Star Trek and Drag Me To Hell

I never liked the original one. It makes the animated film look like a bold success, because at least it was shorter and didn't have some nitwit throwing the camera around.

This one is worse due to the fact that, one, it's longer. Two, it has nothing to do in that two and a half hours. Three, there's more pornographic subtext that I just makes me wants to hit my head on the seat in front of me. Four, it's more nauseating that the last one. And five, it's going to be (already is in the UK) a box office smash because loads people are braindead and they'll be groups of leery teenagers who'll nominate it for MTV Movie Awards next year. It'll win and they'll be a squeal before you can say, "Doctor, I have a tumour".

I am going to see it, but I am not going in there expecting anything other than a empty film with tons of action and what not.

Nothing wrong with action. Only if it's exciting and not boring. Transformers is the latter

I'm going to see it mainly for my 5 year old son...but also so I can see how badly made it is. I love the original animated series and love the animated movie from 1985. That's one of the reason why I hated the first Transformers movie...my love of the original stuff. Michael Bay being one of the worst directors ever being another reason and not knowing how to work a damn camera...but...oh well. There's got to be bad movies for us to talk about too.

Of course it's a terrible movie but we're hardly the demographic they're after. Jupiter has returned

It was alright... slightly anticlimactic at times like when Optimus Prime came back to life but it was a decent summer action flick

I was never a Transformers fan but the first movie I enjoyed. I liked the high quality visual effects and the intense action sequences for what they were worth. It's basically etched in stone somewhere that Michael Bay cannot successfully make a story driven film. When watching his films I don't go in expecting a strong well told story because that is not his drawing point. His drawing point is seeing large explosions and all kinda shooting and whatnot.

Transformers was made for Michael Bay because he can make stuff explode and things break in an all successful fashion. It's no surprise Transformers 2 was bashed by critics and alot of people because all it is, is just stuff breaking and blowing up and all of that kinda stuff.

I am seeing it at IMAX in a couple of weeks so hopefully I will enjoy it for the action part and not story part of it.

It's a given that you are going to enjoy the action and the blowing shit up...but that's all it is. Michael Bay can't make a straight forward movie not full of CGI...that's because he has no talent. He's not a filmmaker...he uses computer generated effects cause he can't do anything else. He knows that...we know that...that's way the majority of us don't like his films. It's called having an appreciation for the art of filmmaking and the time that the great directors put into it....

Yes you have a point but as of now Michael Bay is a top director in hollywood. I mean not only does he have his own production studio Platinum Dunes which finances horror films but he also directs big budgeted action flicks. Out of all of Michael Bay's films I liked were The Island and Transformers by far. Them 2 were pretty enjoyable for me to watch and thought were one of Michael Bay's fewer best films.

On an action standpoint I know Transformers 2 will blow me away. Other then that I would possibly think everything else about it is okay

He's a top action director in hollywood...nothing more than that. To be honest his action flicks aren't even the best as far as action goes...but he is the big name in action now...sadly we have to deal with that....

You know what? Michael Bay is a pornographic director. I mean, he can't direct, but that's the least of my problems with him. He would be directing porn if it weren't for the fact he's so damn successful.

Transformers 2 is just so leery and grotesque half of the time, the other half is just boring and pain-inducing. I am so tempted to say that this is a movie made by the devil, because it's the most cheap and corrupting way to say to audiences, "Hey, your dumb. Hey boys, you like giiiirrrrllllls? Well, we have Megan Fox who is going to prance over. We've got a girl in a skirt and we're going to do a tracking shot of her legs."

The thing is, I would be probably be more forgiving of Transformers if a) it were shorter, b) didn't have this chauvinistic and pornographic attitude towards well, everything, and c) if i could just hear what everyone doing and having not to shout "HEY MATE, CAN YOU HEAR WHAT THEY'RE SAYING?" "WHAT?" "CAN YOU HEAR WHAT THEY'RE SAYING?" "WHAT?" "CAN YOU HEAR WHAT..." "NAH, I CAN'T HEAR YOU MATE" "NO, CAN YOU HEAR WHAT THEY ARE SAYING?"

Transformers 2 will be grossing alot of money and would be bashed by critics and people(like u os99) but overall Transformers fans would be pleased and a 3rd installment would be out in 2 years. No word if Michael Bay is returning as of right now but wouldn't be one bit surprised if he does direct number 3.

Transformers fans would not be pleased with the Transformers film!!! I am a Transformers fan...of the real Transformers...the 80's cartoon...movie...etc. That's real Transformers...the crap Michael Bay puts on the screen is not Transformers...don't throw out that Transformers fans will be pleased!!! It's shit!!! I enjoyed the action and it was fun...but the film itself is utter shit.

Well you have to understand that Transformers was aimed for little kids. If Michael Bay adapted the film to be aimed at young kids then the film wouldn't have sold well as it did. I personally thought Transformers was extremely gay before the first film came out in Summer of 2007. After seeing the first one it was apparent that something that was kid material could be made for a much broader audience.

I thought the same for GI Joe Rise Of The Cobra until I saw the previews for it. I now think that film would be well worth seeing.

As much as I'm going to want to enjoy the G.I. Joe movie...I know it's going to be the same as Transformers and I'm going to leave the theater highly disappointed. But...I'm still going to go see it....

Well GI Joe is going to be directed by the same man who directed THe Mummy,The Mummy Returns,Van Helsing and even Deep Rising. Those films may have not been great but they were decent at the very best. I don't know how GI Joe will turn out though. The cast looks decent and the overall presentation of it looks ok. Would it be better then Transformers 2 or worse? Only time will tell on that one.

What I do know is that Hasbro has sold the rights of alot of their board games last year to be made into films so expect a Battleship movie down the line sometime.....

I was pretty pleased with the casting for GI Joe aside from Channing Tatum...but that's just my preference. We'll see how it is...the only movie the guy directed before that I halfway enjoyed was The Mummy...the others were pretty much trash.

I decided to see it again today. Something was just on my mind, telling me its not as bad as I think it was. After seeing it again, noticing the good parts and the flaws, I have to say, it was a decent movie. The end was very anti-climatic, the jokes were dumb, and there were some useless character. But the action with the Autobots fighting the Decepticons were really good, and the acting was not as bad as critics say, or the story.
