Well I saw it before there was any back to lash at and the fact that this film is the second biggest 5-day opening makes me never want to watch it again because that would be like selling your soul to the devil. Plus, having to watch charisma-free Shia Labeouf.

I mean the critics where incredibly lenient with the first one, and now they're starting to wake and see that it's a load of slimy commercial horse dung. Even Harry Knowles. I mean, Harry Knowles for god's sake, said it almost had a Neanderthal sensibility.

And besides the morals, comes the question; "Did they forget to pay the editor?". A full HOUR could have been cut and it still would have been the same film, but then again I probably would have been more forgiving because AT LEAST I DIDN'T HAVE TO SPEND THAT AMOUNT OF TIME JUST HAVING MY BRAIN PULVERISED TO MUSH!!!

It's a film that says, "Hey guys and gals, you're really DUMB! So you will eat what we're going to give you". Que the bloggers who say, "It's the best movie eva" or "your an ass, it's not an oscar winning movie. SHUT UP!" (probably people who've only seen one film his year).

To be honest, I think I'd rather have the pleasant experience of having my finger slammed in the car door than watch this again. It's very close to being the worst film so far this year. I was staggering out of the screening and I make no joke about it, I wanted to bang my head somewhere.

It was nothing special, not worse than Terminator in my opinion though.

I am pretty psyched to watch it in IMAX in a week or 2. What impresses me with the IMAX presentation is that the film would be shot with IMAX cameras in select sequences. Similar to what Christopher Nolan did with The Dark Knight last year.

I remember last year that I was really annoyed that The Dark Knight was not "the masterpiece" everyone said it was, but after seeing Transformers 2 I thoroughly embrace it now because at least The Dark Knight was a big-budgeted film with ideas.

I considered myself a Transformers fan when I was younger I had the toys, watched the cartoons, and read the comic books., I thought the first movie was alright. I enjoyed it being turned into a movie, at the very least. This one was garbage. GARBAGE.
I guess the director tried to compensate for story with jumbled action scenes and explosions. They're going to NEED a better director for the next one. I can't think of any director, save the Uwe Boll, who could make a worse movie with the same budget.

IMAX is pretty useless in most of the movies that are shown. It's only worth anything if some or all of the movie is filmed with an IMAX camera....sucks when you pay to go to the IMAX just to see a film that doesn't utilize the whole screen. I watched Watchmen on the IMAX and it was all 35mm so it was virtually pointless...had a good time though and love the fucking movie!!!

I've seen a TON of movies at the IMAX that I don't know where to start. Out of all the IMAX films I have to say that 300,Star Trek,Watchmen,I Am Legend and The Dark Knight were the best presentations by far. Now that Christopher Nolan started the trend, you can expect to see more films being shot with IMAX camera's with Transformers 2 being the 2nd film.

John Faverou said he has interrest in shooting Iron Man 2 with IMAX Cameras but don't know if he has gone through with that or not. Aside of that, expect to one day see a full motion picture just be shot with only IMAX cameras since IMAX corp is looking into that.

Ok, now TF2 feels like a terrible film again. I can't make up my mind!

I had the privilage of seeing Transformers 2 today at IMAX. The entire film was honestly pretty good. The film had a good share of action segments and over the top visuals by ILM. The sound yet again was awsome. Every single time there was a robot smack down or explosion it rocked the entire room. It was loud and sounded nice.

What I liked also was that Michael Bay shot some sequences with IMAX cameras. That right there was one of the best things about the IMAX version. Almost every IMAX shot sequence looked amazing and did make the films viewing experience much more enjoyable. I understand why some hated it but I honestly thought it was okay at best.

Take it for me if you go and see this then see it at IMAX. The viewing experience is 100 times better then seeing it at a regular theater. If you can't see it at IMAX then wait for the Blu Ray version to hit stores then.

Most likely the Blu Ray version would have the IMAX shot footage perfectly stored on the disc just with the Blu Ray version of The Dark Knight.

The visuals are as incredible as throwing an expensive camera up in the air an letting it crash to ground. Expect that it does it in every single shot of the whole fucking film, and grinded together in order to be fed to chickens (in this case, the audience).

Seriously, if you see at IMAX (god forbid), you need a drip and tons of morphine. It does not make the film better, it just brings a bigger gun to your head.

Yeah it wasn't too bad to rate it 2 stars or lower so I rated it 2.5 stars which is an average rating it was really good in parts but then in other parts it did drag a bit wasn't the best and is forgettable.

Giving Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen a 2.5 rating is generous in my book

Yes but there were some enjoyable parts so I thought giving it 2 stars will be a bit too scrict and a bit unfair I was going by the other movies I rated and the ones I gave 2.5 stars were no better than Transformers 2 I couldn't give Transformers 2 any higher or lower I'm quite happy with the rating I gave it.

Well what you all are missing is the fact that Transformers wasn't made to be a story driven film. The film series was basically made to show off the latest in CGI and lots of over the top action segments. Seeing this film in IMAX was possibly the best viewing experience for Transformers period. With all the awsome visuals and loud sound effects just made it apparent that the series was made for IMAX.

I didn't get the chance to view number 1 at the IMAX but when seeing number 2 I was nearly blown away by the amazing sound quality and exclusive shot IMAX sequences throughout the film. I don't know how Michael Bay does it but he can really piece together some very great action scenes. The whole sequence where the construction equipment forms the Devestator decepticon just blew me away.

It was a a big plus that the whole sequence was shot with IMAX as well.

I KNOW Transformers was not mean't to be a story-based film right from the outset and the trailer. Anyone can see there wasn't supposed to be a 'story'.

BUT, and it's a very big BUT...it's just no fun, it has no morals, it has no direction, and even the action sequences are not directed with flair. It's not only dull as hell, but it drags and drags and drags and DRAGS!

Not only that, it's incredibly loud that you start to melt in your seat like Emil in Robocop, and you're thinking, "WHEN...IS...THIS....GOING....TO....STOP!!!!"

I know I shouldn't take this too seriously, but the worst part is the fact it has broken box office records. And that just shows what puerile, commercial, corrupt, Satan-ridden slop we're given. As if the audiences are pigs in front of a trough.

To say that, "the special effects were great" is being largely pedantic. The only people that actually 'like it' are porn-reading teenagers and young adults aged 13 - 30. I'm sorry, but there you go!

Well it seems to me ur just too critical os99. I mean this is coming from the guy who hated Terminator Salvation. That film wesn't epic but it most certainly wesn't bad either as you depicted it. I understand Transformers 2 wasn't good but you going on bashing how terrible it was is just rediculous. You may not understand but Transformers has a HUGE fanbase surrounding it.

I never was a fan of the animated TV series but the live action films were pretty damn neat if you ask me.I know the story wasn't there but the action segments and visuals for both installments drastically made up for it.
