Any saw the trailer of Public Enemies (2009) this movie was filled with adventures of a gang and those who wish to see a good movie are waiting on this movie. free movies I have seen the movie trailer and I was really impressed with this movie. Public Enemies (2009) movie was one of the line
There was something that just didnt work in this film. I was disappointed with Bale as Purvis, the performance didnt really offer that much to the outcome of the film.
I was impressed with the chemistry between Johnny Depp and Marion Cotillard.
Okay well I need to check it out then.
At the moment my favourite 2009 film as to be Night at the museum 2 followed by Fast and Furious which is my second favourite.
I have seen 5 at the moment this year Into the Blue 2,taken,balls out, fast and furious and Night at the museum and I gave Night at the museum 5 stars and I gave Fast and Furious 4 stars.
I have to be honest, I do worry about Christian Bale because I know how much effort he puts into his performance, but it's getting clouded. I don't know why.
It obvious the way critics are responding to this because out of all the blockbusters we've had so far that are rubbish (Transformers 2, Terminator Salvation, Night at the Museum 2, Year One, X-Men: Origins, Angels and Demons, The Hangover), at least Public Enemies has some class.
However, when I watched it I wanted to see more of Marion Cotillard (who is good), who disappears for much of the film. Not only that I am not that taken by the digital effect (which incidentally, worked well in Collateral) and I wish there was more structure in the narrative.
I'm not saying Public Enemies is bad, it's a decent film, but not a great one. And it's far from Michael Mann's best films such as Manhunter (the best Hannibal Lector film made) and The Insider.
I must stress though, I'd wish people would go and see this rather than fill Michael Bay's cash cow.
I agree Os. I mean it wasnt the best film but Public Enemies does have a lot of class and was a well made film. I do not like the mindless action flicks that continue to flood the big screens.
It's not out in Australia yet, but I was curious to see people's opinion on it.
Well the trailer makes it look like a pretty good movie, but of course the trailer proves nothing. I am looking forward to this, and my dad as well since he likes director Michael Mann, but I hope it won't dissapoint him
Opinions so far from what I have read all over the world are either good or bad. Its not an average film, either you found it impressive or you hate it. I found it to be impressive with a few mistakes that can be let go because it is still the best film of the summer so far.
Well I think the best summer "blockbuster" so far is Star Trek, where we had an origins film (take notes, makers of 'X-Men: Origins) that a) was entertaining, b) was well thought out, c) knew what the tv series was all about in the first and d) was accessible to a wide range of audiences.
I mean, Public Enemies has its problems, but it's an admirable attempt. As a Michael Mann fan, I cannot lie, I did find it slightly disappointing, but it's not a write off. However, I completely agree with some critics who said, 'Well, you could do tons worse with other films out at the moment' (wink, wink Michael Bay and Transformers 2, which is so far at the top of my list of Worst Films of 2009)
I thought this movie was pretty good, I like both of the actors, but I thought it could have been a little bit better, it was a little boring like in the 1st half of the movie.
even though i'd say its a good film, i was very disappointed when i saw it :( the acting is great but the plot starts to get a little dull in the middle and stays that way for quite a while. the beginning and ending are great though. i'd say its worth seeing just for the good acting.
