Memento (2000, R)
The reason why Christopher Nolan was given the reins on blockbuster's 'Batman Begins' and 'The Dark Knight' was due to his brilliant, innovative Hollywood debut. The acting is stellar, the directing is phenomenal, and most of all, the movie is so accurate in showing how subjective our own memories are that even Neuroscientist's admire its portrayal. Seriously, look it up on wikipedia! |

I agree with the majority of your list, especially "Heat". Best shootout. Memento-best plot and explanation on perception. I thought I was the only one who saw "Oldboy", too. Everyone should watch this one, too. I'd like to include "Wasabi"-another Asian movie.
