It's Always Fair Weather (1955, Unrated)
Worth seeing if you are a fan of old musicals. Gene Kelly is good and Cyd Charisse is great. There are some good dance numbers, and Cyd plays an incredibly brainy career woman (unique for a 50s movie). The movie is a little downbeat, really, being about a trio of guys who are disillusioned about each other after the war and are exploited by TV producers. Not depressing, though, just a little different from some other musicals. |
