The Bad and the Beautiful (1953,  Unrated)
The Bad and the Beautiful 3.5 Stars
Some classic filming here :) Entertaining and a good storyline about a movie-maker with the emotional dramas involved but a little hard to keep attention to at times. Some excellent scenes like the car going out of control and some beautiful shots of Lana. Would like to see it again when I have more of an attention span.

How To Marry A Millionaire (1953,  Unrated)
How To Marry A Millionaire 3.5 Stars
Lauren Bacall stood out to me in this comedic tale of 3 ladies who set out to find 3 very rich men to marry. Betty Grable and Marilyn Monroe were beautiful and played the part well, but I still am struggling to see Marilyn in a role where she doesn't come across as so flighty. I prefer Gentlemen Prefer Blondes in that regard!
Definately an entertaining and worthwhile see. :) And of course, love how love wins out in the end :)

Limelight (1952,  G)
Limelight 4.5 Stars
Wow! this movie shocked and delighted me! :) Unfortunately about half way through i got a little annoyed with the overdrama of the leading lady, but still an excellent movie :D and very revealing of the deep side and intimate messages from such an excellent actor who can play the fool and emote so much without even needing to speak. (but in this one he does, it's one of the 7 talkies he made before he was kicked out of America!) Fantastic man! :)

The Ten Commandments (1956,  G)
The Ten Commandments 4.5 Stars
This movie is so colourful, well acted and made. The exotic Egypt is so well crafted, so sexily done. I used to watch this at Christmas time becasue it would be on tv. We would stay up as late as we could but would always fall asleep. This is a real classic! :) A GREAT STORY.

Let's Make It Legal (1951,  Unrated)
Let's Make It Legal 3.5 Stars
Marilyn is actually a minor role in this film. A good film about a wife who wants a divorce but a husband who realizes he wants her back when an old flame of hers comes back to town. I love how the husband keeps showing up at her home, it's cute and funny.
