1995 year in film
These are the best films of 1995, THERE ARE NONE GREATER....these lists are excerpts from an ongoing book/project on film I've been editing since 1999 titled "The Refined and Uncompromising Picture Show". Not all of these films are for everyone, but I promise if you true cinephiles sit through most of them maybe you'll take something away. These are the motion pictures that tower above all other films for the years they came out in the U.S. If any of your favorite films are missing let me know and i'll either thank you for reminding me or i'll let you know why i didn't feel i needed to mention it. my dumb ass had it on the 1996 list, i thought it's U.S. theatrical run was in '96. Thanks for bringing that to my attention. i only saw that about a year ago honestly when criterion printed it. I like Kassovitz as an actor and I love "La Haine", but what is up with his recent hollywood studio pics? man..
