watched this film, thought what a great film, then saw the bootleg version, as cameron likes to callit, made it even better, new scenes, scenes fleshed out more, and more of the rock and roll lifestyle, everyone is great in this film, especially seymour hoffman, in a small role, and of course jason lee, check out the soundtrack too, lots of classicsd
paul thomas anderson, what can i say, this guy is a genius, hard eight, nice little debut, boogie nights, is in my top 5, magnolia, suberb multicharactor drama, what will he donext i thought, oh no a adam sandler film, things wernt looking good, this guy cant act, i thought, p.t, what are you doing, then watched the film, was blown away, not just his direction, but sandler, this guy can act, just give him a good script, exellent director, hes got it this story could be straight out of magnolia, set in l.a, sandler plays barry a lonely bachelor who runs a nice little business, but gets involved with a lady, superbly played by emily watson, while at the same, time a misunderstanding, with a phone sex companywhilst trying to take advantage of a pudding offer, it all fits together pretty well, looks great, for me, p.t is a directorwith amazing style, and odd music which fits perfectly, a great watch, oh and i hate it when so called sandler fans, havent seen this or dont want to see it, because they heard its a drama, whats that about.n are you a sandler fan, what you think,
this film is amazing, best film this decade, events during sept 11, from united 93, air traffic control, and the militery, not afraid to point blame, but shows confusion, as to how it could happen, documentary style, puts you on the plane, and even though you know the outcome, root for the people on board, and its not because its 911, why this is powerful, it would be under different events, oliver stones, world trade center, doesent make my top 20 last year, and hes one of my fav directors of all time see this film,
what can i say, seen this twice in 1 day, i was stunned, p.t anderson followes up punch drunk love with another masterpiece, daniel day lewis will haunt you after seeing him in this, in every scene i believe, and a superb charactor, lots of scenery to chew on, and this goes on for two and a half hours, scene after scene, hes amazing to watch, the story is great, for a anderson film, there are things you notice, but very different to others, but in a very good way, and amazingly hes grown as a filmmaker. and thats after magnolia, this film looks great, a great setting, the story runs along smoothly, timeline is around 30 years, and, some have commented about last scenes, set in 1927, i think its genius, and watching for second time, makes perfect sence, and again day lewis will haunt you. radioheads johnny greenwood is also revelation here, composing score, superb soundtrack, really capturing feel,
a great visual treat, about break up, in a world where people can wipe bad memorys, kate winslet plays somene who does it, all thoughts of her boyfriend played by carrey, so when he finds out, so does he, and we go into the mind of carrey as his memorys fade, and he realises he wants to keep them, so with the memory veresion of winslet, try to keep her memory alive, visually stunning, so many camera tricks to dislay his state of mind and memorys, and watching carrey act is a joy, winslet to, whos great , michael gondry loves doing this kind of stuff, no cgi here, you see his music videos coming out here, a great director
